Welcome! I’m Kia Henderson and I was born and still to this day reside in the great state of Texas. I am a passionate artist dedicated to exploring and capturing the beauty the world has to offer. What I am most proud of is that I am self taught with the exception of dabbling around with it while in high school. I create art when the mood hits me, or to channel a peaceful moment and in an effort to try and slow down the world just a little bit.
From a very young age I have always enjoyed drawing and creating some sort of art and to relish in the different and unique feeling each piece produced. I have to admit that I’ve been selfish because I’ve kept that feeling bottled up inside of me all of my life, afraid of how other people may critique my art. But recently, I have realized that I shouldn’t care about what other people think as long as I got the feeling of freedom while bringing my visions to life.
Each piece that I create is like telling a story, not in words, but with personal expression. My hope is that you get the opportunity to read and enjoy my many stories. In my collection of art you will be able to follow my journey and hopefully see my growth and how I personally evolve from one piece to the next.
